What Contributed To The Rise Of Antisemitism And The Escalation To The Final Solution In Nazi Germany?
Antisemitism was encouraged by none other than the leader himself, Adolf Hitler. He was the one that had started with this idea of "Racial Purity". His own beliefs possessed the minds of all his followers to believe the same thing. He was a phenomenal speaker and manipulating his nation- well he was the best at that and the lives of 6 million is enough proof to show that what he did worked. His very well thought out plan helped him go through with this plan although it wasn't fully successful he still managed to cause plenty of damage. He was able to get people to think like him. He was able to have thousands and thousands of people share his same passion and dream. The term "Final Solution" was sort of used as a code- thats what the Nazi's did, they were very sneaky, very well hidden, and they knew how to pull it off...they almost did. Hitler was clever he didn't throw this all onto his people at once, he implemented in stages. Bit by bit, step by step, he possessed the minds of millions, he took the lives of millions.
How Were Germans Able To Commit Inhuman Acts During The Holocaust?
Germans were able to commit such inhuman acts because of the power that was handed to them. No one dared to say anything against them- I mean you really couldn't and if you did you'd probably be killed on the spot. This is the way they ran their nation. Just like in the picture shown below they had this type of effect on their people- they were able to have them support the nation against their will. There was nothing that anybody could do to stop the Germans from pushing forth their efforts to annihilate the Jews. They had the support of one of the strongest men in the world at the time- Mr. Adolf Hitler. With such a powerful evil mind like that one they were unstoppable. Besides that they were heartless, and clueless. They honestly believed they were doing the world a favor by getting rid of the Jewish population. Germans were too blinded to see what horrible acts were being committed. Some believed it was the right thing to do, others didn't care, and some were too scared. Some were too scared to say anything- in fear that something would happen to them. And thats how the German's were semi-successful in their project. They knew where and how exactly to strike their people...
through fear.
through fear.
Artifact:
Here we have Sudeten women being forced to salute the triumph of Hitler. The young woman covering her face with the handkerchief cries, she sobs because she has been silenced. Her voice along with millions of others had been silenced by the Nazi's brutal rule and heartless mind. Not only were they unjust to the Jews, and so full of hate but they had no problem turning this towards their own people as well. This also relates to my main question on how Germans were able to commit inhuman acts. Inhuman acts aren't just murders but also they are violating a right to that everyone should be able to support what they want to support and have free minds of their own. Germans restricted their own people from this, they were able to manipulate, threaten, and force actions upon them, making them so successful.
